Open for business in October of 1928, the Lord Nelson Hotel dominates the skyline on the corner of South Park & Spring Garden, overlooking small shops to the south and the Halifax Public Gardens to the west. There is a lovely beat to the area - the construction of the hotel itself was the spark that started much of it. Halifax Public Gardens Wedding
During 2014 I noticed a shift in the type of weddings that I was documenting. There were a number of outdoor ceremonies hosted at family homes & cottages, and there were a number of small ceremonies and elopements. The pace of these was certainly different and I was able to take my time and let the creativity flow with the formal photos.
