A Boscawen Inn Wedding

In the heart of Lunenburg lies the Boscawen Inn. Built in 1888 (as a wedding gift nonetheless), Nika and Matt chose the Inn for their wedding ceremony and reception (and what a fantastic spot it is for wedding photos!). I'd had the opportunity to meet with them in early 2015 for a series of photos along the windswept granite of Peggy's Cove and was looking forward to working with them again. First impressions were that these two were very much in love and that their wedding day would focus on the celebration of their relationship.

Friday, May 6th marks the first day of my 2016 wedding season. It'll be a whirlwind, but I'm pumped. The winter months that precede the busy season are a chance to decompress and a chance to focus on other photographic endeavours. I've quickly learned that wedding photography can be a gateway to so much more as I've had a number of past clients touch base in the hopes of having their growing families documented. It's an honour to be a part of their next chapter and I'm excited to share some photos from this recent session.

From time to time I'll step away from wedding work and focus on something completely different. I had met Justin a couple of years ago and ended up documenting his wedding. Nowadays you'll find him exercising his creativity at JJ Boudreau Woodcraft, on the site of Windhorse Farm. The site itself is magic.
