It’s day feelssomuchlongerthanitactuallyhasbeen something or other of the current COVID-19 health crisis. It’s alternating between rain and snow outside and callers on the radio are complaining about confusing government advisories / restrictions.
But I have some fresh pressed coffee. Fresh bacon. Fluffy scrambled eggs. And the kids haven’t destroyed the house . . . . yet. It’s time to dive into the archives and start posting some of the albums I’ve been hanging on to.
Lesley and Craig opted for a late ceremony, leaving them with plenty of time to get ready, see each other beforehand and stroll through Halifax’s downtown core. The sun may have been harsh, but it was fun to chase the lines of light and shadow as it swept across streetscapes and building facades. The Historic Properties were unusually quiet for a Saturday in early September and Stillwell Bar was kind enough to let us in before the doors officially opened to the public. One feels like royalty with unrestricted access to the main level taps and the arcade cabinets on the lower level.
A round of drinks later and they were ready for the stroll to Lot Six. Ready to greet their guests, exchange vows and light up the dance floor.
