A complete website overhaul was not on my radar in early January, but an impromptu discussion with a close friend changed all of that. Within a few hours I had registered with SquareSpace and started the process of moving my domain. And why stop there? This would be the perfect opportunity to showcase images from the 2014 season. And so I have. There are still a few tweaks to be made and I'm sure I'll come across a few bugs. Onwards and upwards. The attached image is how I feel at this point - on top of the world and waving a canoe paddle like a madman. I love it. Thank you for visiting and thank you for your support.

A 2019 update for this post! Four years have passed, but I still feel the same. Still as excited, and still at the top of the world with my canoe paddle in hand. This was my first wedding at St Marks Place - a beautiful converted church on the shores of the LaHave River. Within minutes it had become a favourite wedding venue of mine and my position hasn’t wavered. Spacious and steeped in history. Full of warmth and full of love. The perfect mix for a wedding. Fun fact! I documented this wedding while suffering from food poisoning. To this day I can’t go near lobster, but I’ve made my peace with coleslaw. It’s a testament to what this profession means to me - suffering is quickly forgotten when you’re in the presence of joy. It’s what I love. It’s what I follow. It’s what I wish to continue exploring. A toast to the next wedding and a toast to the one that follows. A toast to every new adventure. And to you lobster? Someday.
