A challenge for any wedding photographer is experimentation - stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something different during a session. Isolating a subject using focus / depth of field is something that we’re accustomed to, but what about isolating a subject using available light? Chasing light and shadow during this session was a goal of mine and I’m grateful for the light we had. A smile, clasped hands or eyes illuminated by the sun as the rest of the frame slips into the shadows. Perfection.
