When I moved to Halifax the space was home to a clothing boutique. 9 years later it would be transformed into Obladee, a Wine Bar. Step through the door and you’re transported from the familiarity of Barrington Street to the charm of an Old World bar. Warm lighting, warm woodwork, live jazz, rich spreads, a fantastic selection of wine and last . . . but certainly not least . . . staff who make you feel at home.
Clients always ask about wedding venues throughout Halifax. “We have ‘x’ amount of people attending - which venues are best suited to our needs?” At this point there is an excellent opportunity to think outside of the box, especially if the wedding isn’t held on a Saturday. Restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, music venues . . . the possibilities are endless. Instead of decorating an empty space you can stroll into a venue like Obladee. That’s what these two did. From photos along the Halifax Waterfront to shoe adjustments on Barrington Street and an intimate wedding ceremony and reception at the wine bar itself.
At this point we’re still in the midst of COVID-19, but the staff at Obladee are running deliveries! For more information you can follow the link * here *.
