As a wedding photographer, the moments immediately following a ceremony are some of my favourites. That mix of excitement and adoration. A sense of welcoming. A flurry of handshakes and hugs, kisses and warm embraces. Navigating those moments and documenting the interactions that follow is a true pleasure.

2017 Bespoke Wedding Event
For the third year in a row I've had the pleasure of documenting the collaborative work of Halifax wedding vendors at the Bespoke Wedding Event, organized and hosted by Simply Weddings. Vendors come together to transform select spaces into themed rooms, offering the public an opportunity to view the end result and chat with those involved. Keeping things simple. Keeping things fun. Keeping things true to yourself. This is the prime example of what can unfold over the course of a perfect, low-key wedding day. This is a reminder that there are no rules and that a wedding can be what you want it to be. A spin class at Cyclone Fitness for family and friends in the early hours of the morning? Why not! An outdoor wedding ceremony at the Prince George Hotel? Why not! An intimate and cozy reception at a North End restaurant? Why not! Sweat, tears, socializing and cheers. As a wedding photographer, this is why I do what I do.
This was my first visit to Edna, and it hasn't been my last. No shortage of character and charm - it's the perfect spot to spend an evening with those you love. The perfect spot to share fantastic food, chilled drinks, company and of course . . a dance floor. Congratulations you two, and thank you for having me. It was wonderful.
